Happy one month anniversary to a beautiful, loving, and easy-going couple, Brooke and Derik. I was so fortunate to be chosen by Brooke and Derik last year to shoot their beautiful wedding day at a gorgeous private residence overlooking Dorena Lake.
Shooting out by the lake provided a little relief from my previous 90+degree weddings earlier in the summer, but it was still a brilliantly sunny afternoon. I absolutely LOVED how many little details Brooke & Derik incorporated into their big day. Brooke's gorgeous veil, the beautiful Mr. & Mrs. Hand sign, the streamers, and other teal accents throughout, of course, made me realize that Brooke was a girl after my own heart.
Another element of Brooke and Derik's wedding that won me over was their sweet and hilarious wedding party. I love it when there happens to be people I know at the weddings I shoot (which happens at least 62% of the time - also, I'm a statician, so you can take that percentage to the bank!) and this wedding had a particularly large collection of people I knew - including my VERY FIRST EVER bride and groom as a professional (woot - shout out to Chelsea & Braeden!)
The ceremony took place overlooking the gorgeous lake and was followed by a pretty epic dance party at the reception. Throughout the day, the picturesque venue made for hundreds of beautiful spots to get amazing bride and groom portraits - of which, I literally did take hundreds! It was so difficult to narrow down my favorite from this beautiful day, but, here is my attempt to do so :)
