Hannah and Kody were one of the easiest bride and grooms I have ever worked with. We got in touch last year when they booked me (from out of state) and we exchanged a few emails here and there, but for the most part, I trusted them and they trusted me to do what we all needed to do for the wedding day to come and everyone get it right. We nailed it!
First of all, her hair. Guys, you all know about my hair crushes by now and, I mean, I didn't stand a chance when I saw those gorgeous locks! On top of that, Hannah's down to earth, easy-going, "we trust you - do what you need to do" attitude was obviously a wedding photographer's dream come true! After doing details and getting ready shots at The Inn at the 5th downtown, I hustled over to Pisgah to get ready for the first look. That is where I meant Kody (the groom) and Cody (the best man) also referred to as "Kay-ody" and "Cee-ody" which is pretty much my favorite nicknames of all time. Kody was one of the sweetest, most charming, and immediately warm and inviting grooms I've ever met. He was instantly asking how my day was going and if I was doing alright...trying to make sure I was taken care of on his own wedding day!
The wedding itself was GORGEOUS - Hannah and Kody combined beautiful, almost-autumn colors with deep purples to create a perfect palette for Pisgah's gentle, August-neutrals. I loved everything about their vision and how the pulled it all together. Then, a pretty epic surprise, was that they BOTH made up a new last name and each of them changed to Fawkes, a new surname to each of them. I mean, I think that is amazing.
Hannah and Kody, thank you a million times over for having me as your wedding photographer. I had WAY TOO MUCH fun at your reception and giggled my way entirely through editing the best dancing pics EVER - man, do you and your wedding party have some moves!
