Annaleah and I met over 10 years ago when we both worked together at University of Oregon (how has it already been over 10 years??) The wonders of Facebook allowed us to keep up with each other's happenings and she discovered that I was photographing weddings these days :) She contacted me and told me her date and said her venue was Sweet Cheeks Winery and I jumped at the chance to do a vineyard wedding!
Annaleah and Nathan are two fiercely, intelligently, hilarious people I've had the opportunity to photograph. I believe there were times during the day when they were communicating strictly in movie quotes. Each centerpiece at their reception had a witty title and accompanying story and their vows were a combination of masterful statements stemming from poetry, theater, movies, and even Parks and Rec. When the ceremony concluded, we had the chance to walk through the gorgeous grounds of Sweet Cheeks Winery and capture what I wanted to be "vineyard-y" wedding photos. Luckily for me, the couple was all for it. I love it when the bride and groom just go along with whatever I say :)
